Ashley Chaudiere (Director of Synchronized Skating)
Ashley Chaudiere grew up in Lynnwood, Washington representing Seattle Skating club at the regional and national level through her competitive years as a singles and ice dance skater. She has participated in numerous group skating concepts as a skater and coach that consisted of Synchro, Theater On Ice and cheerleading on ice. Ashley has been a freestyle and choreography focused skating instructor for 10 years currently on staff at Kingsgate FSC, but has been on staff with Seattle Skating Club and Everett FSC in the past. She has also spent 10 months on staff with San Diego Figure Skating Club out of the Kroc Arena in La Mesa, California, was director if the Palouse FSC in Moscow, ID for one season and managed the LC Ice Arena in Lewiston, ID for one season. Prior to taking on the roll as the WIESSO Director, Ashley coached the Open Juvenile team for three years.
Tina Kupferschmidt (Pre – Juvenile, Adult)
Tina Kupferschmidt is originally from Roseville, Minnesota. She moved here in 2012, due to her husband’s acceptance of a job offer with Microsoft. Prior to her arrival in Washington she coached at the Maplewood FSC in Maplewood, MN where she had been coaching synchronized skating for 10 years. She has coached all ages, from Beginner – Intermediate leveled Synchro teams which attended and were competitive at many local, regional, and sectional competitions each year. Her intermediate level team competed at the US Synchronized Skating National Championships for 3 consecutive years from 2008-2010. Currently, Tina is a coach at the Kingsgate FSC and her areas of instruction include learn-to-skate lessons, compulsory ice-dancing, moves in the field, and of course synchronized skating, as a coach of the Washington Ice Emeralds.
Rebecca Frampton (Pre-Juvenile)
Rebecca joins the Washington Ice Emeralds coaching staff this season from The Highlanders where she helped develop and manage their synchronized skating program for the past 3 seasons. As a skater, Rebecca primarily focused on dance and moves in the field and also served as President, Vice President, Membership and Test Chair for the Flagstaff FSC. She has been an instructor since 1999 and has taught both private and group lessons to all ages and she implemented and taught group dance classes for the Flagstaff FSC. Since 2006, she has been coaching at the Highland Ice Arena teaching singles, dance, synchro, and group numbers. Rebecca earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Liberal Arts from Northern Arizona University, and outside of her coach role, she works as a part of the office staff at Highland Ice Arena.
Rachel Franchock (Open Juvenile)
Rachel is from Michigan and grew up skating in the Detroit area. She has extensive experience skating competitively and has traveled nationally and internationally as a member of Team USA. Rachel has 12 years of synchronized skating experience and earned national titles at the Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice and Senior levels. In 2010, Rachel earned 2nd place at the US National Championships and had the incredible experience of representing the US and competing at the World Synchronized Skating Championships. Rachel has over 7 years of experience coaching group, private and synchronized skating teams and is especially passionate about coaching moves in the field, ice dance and synchronized skating.
Marie Grieshaber (Open Juvenile)
Marie Grieshaber joins the Washington Ice Emeralds coaching staff this season from The Highlanders where she developed and coached their synchronized skating teams for the past 3 seasons. Growing up in Dallas, TX, she competed at ISI Worlds and at the South Western Regional Championships in singles, synchronized skating and Theatre on Ice. She began teaching in 2008 and currently coaches at the Highland Ice Arena as an instructor for individuals and groups. Marie has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Seattle University, and currently she works for PSF Mechanical, when she is not at the rink.
Danielle Buckley (Open Juvenile)
Danielle Buckley is originally from Bellevue, Washington. She grew up skating in the Seattle area before attending the University of Delaware to pursue skating at the collegiate level. While at the University of Delaware, she competed nationally with the University of Delaware Synchronized Skating Team from 2006-2010. After graduation, she moved back to Seattle and began coaching synchro. When not at the rink, Danielle is a Management Consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
